mission
Make looking out for your friends effortless.
People should get to enjoy their lives without building every plan around worry. luey is a way for the people you trust to be there, without a night of check-in texts.
A lot of safety products lead with fear. Dark pictures. The feeling that something awful is already in the room. We wanted a friend group to actually want this on their phones.
Having people who would show up should feel like part of a good life. The app can be warm and a little playful, and still be serious when the moment is serious.
The colors and the little star are there so the whole group will open it. Useful still comes first. A stressful moment needs a clear screen.
the luey line
Go have fun. Your people have your back.
who it's for
Friend groups first.
People who go out, date, travel, walk alone, and want the people they trust in on it. It should feel normal for everyone in the group to download.
You should be able to explain it in one sentence: download luey, add your friends, start a session when you go out.
Meet the groupSafe. Simple. Fun. All three.
Safe
Useful. Private. Honest about location, permissions, and emergencies. Your people can see you. The rest of the internet cannot.
Simple
You should get it in a minute. If the moment is stressful, a complicated screen is the wrong screen.
Fun
Social and friendly. Looking out for each other should feel like something you'd actually do.
Your people. Your peace of mind.
That's the feeling we want the name to carry. luey is said like louie. Easy to say, easy to text a friend.
The little star shows up in small moments: loading, an empty map, a sticker. The night is still the point.
